What’s a Good Story Without a Comeback?

If you read my previous post you will know that I have been blessed with an opportunity to write a book about my foreclosure experience. Many of you were quick to point out that the book will not carry any weight and will not be complete without a success story and me still being in debt.

Here is a message I got from a friend who has been following my story, noticing this point:

Casey,

I think that people are getting even more pissed off because they think that you got bailed you out with a book deal. Some of them are obviously behaving themselves like that because they are jealous, but most of them wanted to see you actually do something about your debt, not wait for a book deal to bail you out. Also, people feel like the book will not have an ending… some of the commenters even pointed out what I pointed out, people buy books to learn how to succeed and get inspired.

Your foreclosure story will not be complete without you paying off your debts and coming out clean. Think about it, when do you think the people will be inclined to read your book, when they know that you cleaned up your act and have permission to speak, so to speak or when they will know that you wrote a book on what to do and what not to do in foreclosure situations, while you yourself are still in debt and did not do anything about your situation other than write a book about your how you have failed!?

I think the answer speaks for itself. Can you imagine somebody telling you not to smoke cigarettes and the dangers of smoking, while they themselves smoke a pack everyday and can’t give up… I think you will agree that such a person will not have credibility in your eyes and you will not listen to them, on the other hand if somebody who smoked before, but successfully quit, will tell you about the dangers of smoking it will have a much more lasting and influential effect!

Same thing with your book situation and that’s exactly why your commenters are pissed off, they think you don’t have any credibility to speak unless you pay off your debts and come out clean…

So if the natural thing is to write a book when you have credibility, the next logical step is to get that credibility by unleashing and extraordinary comeback story and paying off your debts and coming out clean.

After thinking about what my friend wrote and thinking about what you my dear haters and supporters have said in your comments, I have to agree.

I shouldn’t give up. I need to pay back that debt, even if it means some crazy out-of-the box idea. I used creativity to get into my foreclosure situation. Now I will have to use a lot more creativity to get out, and do it completely above-board.

That got me thinking. Over the last several months I’ve been exposed to many different ideas, some quite crazy. I’ve expanded on those ideas and thought of few crazy ideas of my own too. However, some of these ideas are so creative that I wonder if they will work. But at this point though, what do I have to lose?

Isn’t it true that our Maker has given us the power to create reality with our intentions?

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.
John 15:7

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:20

Remain, ask, and believe. I can definitely improve on “remaining”. I already know what I need to do for that. Next, I need a specific outcome. “Make money” is too vague. How will I know I’ve arrived if the goal is not measurable? And after that I just need to believe.

So, I’m narrowing my ideas down to put together a clear goal. How much money do I need to raise and in what time-frame to repay every dirty penny?

The amount needs to be enough to cover my current unsecured debt, plus any additional debt or taxes from the foreclosures. On top of that it would be good to have some extra money to start a new life with a clean slate and have the seed capital to catchup on my my 2007 goal.

The time frame from the comeback story needs to be fairly quick because some of my unsecured accounts have already gone to collections. Legal action will come next. At that point I may have to file for bankruptcy protection, something I would rather avoid.

So, I will delay writing a book about my complete story until I attempt a comeback.

That doesn’t mean, as part of making money for my comeback, I can’t sell a book or info products on parts of my story that are educational, like a detailed case study of each one of my deals and loans (”What NOT to do”), or maybe sell other people’s books/products, to generate cash quickly. I may or may not do that, but that’s definitely an idea I’ve considered.

In closing… I wanted to thank all of you, my supporters and so called “haters” for constantly pushing me and giving me energy to move forward.

Yes, sometimes the negativity gets to me and I get angry at you guys. But when I stop and think about it, I feel that many of you deep down inside are all good people who are just showing me “tough love” and at the end of the day want to see me succeed and I appreciate that!

I understand that you guys are the blood of my blog and for that I’m thankful. Sometimes it may seem that I don’t listen to your advice, but I assure you that I do and my comeback attempt is going to be a proof of that. I’ll take a couple of days to think about all this and come out with a goal and some kind of preliminary plan. If you have any ideas let me know.

My hope is for all of you to turn from hatin’ to showing some love. The more positive energy the better. At the same time I know I can’t please everybody. But that will not stop me from attempting to do the right thing.

Sweet comeback… here we go!!

    How can you have a comeback? You’re not a ‘has-been’. You’re a ‘never-were’.

  • You deserve it Casey. Persistence and Dedication pays off. More importantly, you turned a positive into a negative. I have said some things to you that were not harsh, but probably could have been more inspiring. I hope you can forgive me and accept my apology. You kept your faith in the Author of Life. Jesus Never fails, but I don’t have to tell you that. Thank you for displaying your faith and for me personally, strengthening mine. When the book comes out, I will be sure to go get it. God bless you and your family, God is bringing you out of a situation that people said was impossible. They say that “you should never measure a mountain until you get to the top”. You are almost there. More importantly, through your faith I think that people may choose to see that God is real and that God can turn any situation around. God bless.

    Here’s a great idea:

Why not buy a 100-unit apartment building? If you find the right deal, that should generate 5k a month in positive cash flow. Surely you can find find one for no money down, that is already producing positive cash flow, with 100% seller financing!!

  • You changed your plan again? I dunno about everyone else, but man am I shocked! Didn’t see it comin’…

I’ve been reading this for a couple o’ weeks now and only until recently have I started to post anything but really I gotta say…I hate you but I’ll still throw my idea at you anyway. Who knows, maybe it’ll work.

You should start a religion. I’m dead serious. Right now there’s a guy out there that drinks, smokes, loves ALL the ladies, claims to be the second coming and the antichrist all rolled into one!! He has a bonafide religion and all the while sins like a madman…which he doesn’t believe in! Maybe you should team up with that guy, considering you sin all the time and spit out scripture while you’re at it!

You could make millions…check that…zillions! And you wouldn’t get taxed for it! The bible’s already written so you wouldn’t have to worry about that, people have already given you money (who says they won’t give more?) and you have a tip jar set up. You can change the name to tithe jar. Ground rules could be something like, there’s no such things as lies, you’re free to take anyone’s money/property so long as you feel entitled to it, no loosers allowed!

    It could work.

I disagree bigtime with your friend. Not everyone has to “succeed” in order to have credibility on a subject. One just has to be a “student” of the profession or trade to be qualified to be a credible source.

Take for instance, a good baseball manager - it is not a prerequisite that they hit 700 homeruns and batted .400. In fact, most of the best hitting coaches and managers were not great ballplayers at all! In fact, many of them were just plain LOUSY ballplayers. However, they are considered foremost experts on the game.

Why? Because they took the time to learn and become students of the game. This is exactly the same thing young Casey has done with his situation. He has become a student of the industry. He understands it. He understands people. He has character.

When Jose Canseco wrote a book, it wasn’t about his successes and wonderful advice. No, it was about mistakes he made, and continues to make. And he brought down everyone around him in one fell swoop! Now it is your turn CASEY!! Go get em -

    THERE IS NO BOOK DEAL

It just hit me. This morning there is a book deal…this afternoon he’s decided to wait until he makes a big comeback? No publisher would agree to anything so silly.

There NEVER WAS a book deal. Just talk, between people of various degrees of flakiness.

He’s not doing anything. He’s just sitting there writing his blog, making stuff up. How pathetic!

  • “If you have any ideas let me know.”

    *Brainstorming*………Ummm……..Maybe get a job?

Wow! It’s so obvious, I don’t know why nobody else thought of that! Dammit, I must be the smartest morter forker on the planet!!!

  • Got hates liars and thieves Casey.

    You’re a liar and a thief.

Spout the bible all you want. You’re going to jail.

  • First time poster, long time reader. You quoting the Bible is really really low. Don’t use the good book to justify your mortgage fraud. God is not an after thought.

    Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

You reap what you sow. Jail time for you.

    2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”

    Get a job.

  • **ATTENTION** **ATTENTION**

Casey has been scammed again, this time by a vanity publisher that you pay to publish a book.

It’s not a real publisher. It’s a VANITY PRESS THAT IS A SCAM.

  • Well the comeback idea is an okay one, but right now you need to figure out where you’re at. Screw the haters, just concentrate on keeping afloat for now.

I think the first step is realizing how badly you’re in. Try posting a detailed summary of your finances so far. You’ll get some decent ideas from your more supportive readers here.

Monetizing the site is good, shame the google thing didn’t work out. If you can make enough, you can buy yourself some time to work up some cash to stay afloat with the minimum payments,

Once again, I think monetizing the site and publishing a book is a decent idea. Don’t get discouraged.

    Go Casey go!

  • “Isn’t it true that our Maker has given us the power to create reality with our intentions?”

The bible says a lot of things; many which have turned out, upon investigation, to be false.

    Here’s a crazy out-of-the-box idea - GET A JOB!

  • I find it impossible to believe that you would delay something Casey.

  • Casey, what happened? Normally you take two days or more to change your mind. What caused you to act so quickly on not writing your book? Don’t hold anything back. We’re here to help you.

This is a correct assessment on your part. Spot on. The more you, “stop and think about it”, the better your family’s outlook will become.

This haterz™ thing is your fantasy, and it’s your way of dealing with opposition to your actions and thinking. If you have 5k unique visitors a month here I bet you could count the real haterz™ on one hand. Seriously. Everybody wants you to pick up the clue phone and succeed. Nobody has anything to gain in the bigger picture by you being anything other than successful. Nobody will argue with this one. And nobody would argue the fact that if you committed crimes that you need to deal with the punishment for your illegal actions.

I’m tellin’ ya, kid… Your haterz™ are the best thing you have going for you in this deal.

You get more free consulting here than I’ve ever seen anywhere else. Can you imagine what the scene would be like if you took some of their advise™?

So, yeah, put the book on the back burner for now, but keep those chapter outlines and materials flowing into a box where you can pull them up for a future book that would totally kick a** . The book is a great idea, but it’s dumb to do it ghetto style without getting the proper deal. Don’t sell that out just yet.

Once you pull this off you have at least one good book in you.

But you have to pull it off. You have no choice other than to pull it off. You have to face down all of the uglies that come with the decisions that you made in the past year. And I mean all of them.

This is what the haterz™ do every day. They know that they need to pull it off, each and every day of the year. It goes for every line worker, executive, teacher, sales person, coder or student in grade school. We all have to pull it off. We need to contribute. This is America. You are part of a team here.

    Hey Casey,

You are not going to believe this. There’s a ship leaving San Diego next week - it’s located Napolean’s 500 ingot ship, that got sunk 200 years ago. These guys just need gas money and then they can set sail. Can you give them some gas money, and they said they would give you 2 whoppers! I think you know what.I am talking about Casey.

They need some deck hands also Casey. Will you come ? I am going Casy. We could talk about sea estate - that new field of real estate where you can buy shipping lanes,

    Loads o Money

  • You are not going to get rich from a book deal. Authors don’t make a lot of money - especially if they have to share the profits with others.

There are no legitimate deals that will pay back “every dirty penny” in 2007. You might be able to pay back every dirty penny in something like 5-10 years, if you work at it. But your creditors and website participants will be impressed if you simply stop adding new debt, start being honest (e.g., your monthly income doesn’t fluctuate depending on what you think someone else wants to hear), and stop looking for “creative” solutions. You don’t need creativity, you need steady, boring work where you provide value to others in exchange for money.

Stop trying to be tricky and identify some things that you can do that other people need. This might be website design, it might be working as a security guard or a telemarketer. The point is, you need to stop trying to come up with some grand scheme and make money the old fashioned way - by earning it. You can come back to the crazy ideas when you’ve paid back your debts and accumulated an investment fund to play with.

You also have got to slow way down - you seem to have adopted and then abandoned a book project in less than 24 hours. Being flaky like this makes it tough for anyone to trust you with anything, and makes it tough for anything to actually work.

For every millionaire who turned a tricky idea into a vast fortune, there are ten thousand losers living in their parents’ garage complaining about how the world cheated them out of the riches they deserved, and dreaming that they’re about to hit it big next week. You can play that game if you like, but the odds aren’t great, and you’re not so different from the other losers.

Do you want to know the big “secret” that the gurus won’t tell you? Here it is - THERE ARE NO SECRETS. There is no secret shortcut to wealth. Work hard and provide real value to others and you’ll be rewarded. Everything else is BS.

  • Congratulations on Trolling me yet again!!!

DO NOT PAY YOUR DEBTS OFF!!!!!!

Your last attempt cost society about $500,000. Attempting to pay off these debts means you need to gamble on one in a million shots instead of buckling down, making some money and actually contributing to society.

Of course this could be just another indicator that you are afflicted with a combination of hard core ADD coupled with a taste of bipolar disorder. You certainly cannot keep a thought in your head for 2 minutes without doing a 180.

    Casey,

I believe that you have to do whatever is right in your own heart. No one can tell you to do something and then expect you to do it. You have to make that determination within your own heart. I do believe you should pay the money back that you borrowed, but the banks will more than likely settle with you. Continue on with your quest, try your best to get rich and be an example for someone else.

    Have a great day!

    Charles White

  • Your friend is an idiot. What sane person would be jealous of you Casey? Jealous of a married man who rents a room from his inlaws? Jealous of being several hundred thousand dollars in debt? Jealous of having horribly trashed credit for years to come? Jealous of what Casey? Your crappy car? Your income that’s less than a fast-food cashiers? Your total failure at “investing”? What in the world is there to be jealous of?

Anyone can write a book. And it’s even easier to get it published. I know many people who’ve done that and in most cases it’s been barely worth their time invested, other than the personal satisfaction they obtained from doing it.

This is really not any big accomplishment and in reality it’s just one more “shiny thing” to distract you from what you really should be doing.

“Yes, sometimes the negativity gets to me and I get angry at you guys.”

Dude, the situation YOU have created IS negative. You SHOULD be angry - at yourself.

    […]
Regardless of how the return is accomplished, a supernatural force is again needed to resolve the final crisis, ‘Crossing the Return Threshold.’ The narrative now brings the hero full cycle – it is his destiny to depart from the mystical world he has discovered, and return to the banalities of life with his bounty. Symbolically, through this adventure, the hero has lost his life (self or ego), but by grace it is returned.

On return, the hero must resolve the Two Worlds – divine and human; known and unknown; yin and yang. The key to understanding the myth is that the two kingdoms are actually one. The unknown is a forgotten dimension of the world we already know. To explore that dimension is the whole deed of the hero. By crossing this final threshold, the hero recognizes that the apparent separation in reality does not exist – and he becomes the ‘Master of Two Worlds.’

What is the result of the journey and return? The last task of the hero is to try and communicate his discoveries and the boon for all humanity. He encounters many incapable of comprehending beyond their physical world. But inevitably, another will hear the message, and arise as the next hero.

I wonder if what turned the “do a book” idea du jour off was your realization of lawsuits for the money…

  • What is a story without a comeback: a tragedy.

  • After reading this blog for the past week I felt it was time to comment. I am not one of your “haters”, but I think you need to face the fact that you’re story is not one of entrepreurial failure and redemption. You bought single family houses, at the height of the market and at prices that could not be supported by rental income. You talked about fixing them up and “flipping” them, but never finished the job and did not have a system in place to do so effectively anyway.
The story you are selling is a living illustration of just how silly the real estate market became at the height of the bubble. You are, in a nutshell, the Pets.com of the housing bubble. There was never another time in history that some 23 year old kid could borrow over 2 million dollars with no money down to bet on real estate. There probably never will be again, ever. If you are a true entreprenuer, you’ll face this fact and start planning a new path for your life immediately.

And if this is some vanity publishing deal, don’t promise a DIME to the people funding it. Give them a percentage deal.

  • Bogus. I am just waiting to find out in a month that this website has been sold. Casey is history. Just tell me where I can find out about the last foreclosure and bankruptcy declaration and we can lay this one to rest. So long and thanks for all the fish.

  • There’s a sort of parallel here. The publishing company belonging to Sir Walter Scott (Brit writer who invented historical fiction genre) collapsed in 1826, when he was 55, and Scott found himself liable for a debt of £114,000 (a lot of money in today’s terms, given average income then about £50). Rather than declare bankruptcy he placed his home, Abbotsford House, and income into a trust belonging to his creditors, and proceeded to write his way out of debt (writings from this period include Woodstock (1826), The Fair Maid of Perth (1828), Anne of Geierstein (1829), Count Robert of Paris (1831), a biography of Bonaparte). This destroyed his health and he died 6 years later in 1832. Though not in the clear even then, his novels continued to sell, and he made good his debts from beyond the grave.

Is there a parallel? Bear in mind that Scott had already made a lot of money before he lost it, that he was a very great writer who could also spell, and that he did indeed pay back all his debts, albeit from ‘beyond the grave’.

  • SWEET! You’re proceeding exactly like I visioned on March 2nd:
    http://www.iamfacingforeclosur.....ment-35274

Though you still believe in Santa Claus (hey, he’s a good guy, he lives over here in Finland!) bailing you out with some sort of a magical trick in the next couple of days, once you wake up you notice you’re in a situation that I described 1,5 months ago. I’m happy to see that in the back of the head you have the mental image how this stuff will eventually profit you, you just are a bit delusional on how it will fold out.

What I suggest for you right now is to concentrate on developing the contacts (maybe even give a heads-up to Spielberg’s studio?), watch the film “Catch me if you can” and learn all you can from it. You’ll have all the time you need in the jail to write the book. You don’t need a comeback story to sell your book, it’ll be just as good if there’s this action sequence in the end with you trying to escape the Feds. Then, if you don’t kill anybody or do anything violent when on the run, and if you’re lucky in court, you can negotiate your way into a minimum-security facility and you don’t need to try to use that murse to whack Bubba off your “tail” when doing some time in the jail!

All things considering, it’s all good and the inevitable outcome I described is at least halfway to the american dream! Not bad for an Uzbek, anyway? (No pun intended, I would be as much of a “russian” as you to the locals there…)

  • Honestly, I can’t hate too much this time.

What does it matter if you pay things off with proceeds from a book deal? I think thats still a legit way to do it. People might not like the “easy way out” but if you manage to pay your debts off that way, what does it matter.

I am also not a RK/Rich Dad fan ( or fan of any other guru). Honestly I think those gurus who write “How to Get Rich” books ( before they are rich themselves and they actually first get rich peddling their books to Amway reps) are a lot worse than you writing a book about foreclosures.

  • are you religious, casey?

  • I really like how you quote bible verses from time to time to support your points. Did you used to do Amway too?

  • So to get through to you we need to write poorly worded letters? Your “friend” is one of us Casey. He says the same things, just filtered into a semi-Casey-grammar. Remember, we’re realists, not a haterz™.

Casey, people are getting pissed off because you continue to ignore good advice.

I for one don’t think this “book deal”, whatever it is, is going to bail you out. I think it is just another “sweet deal” which leaves you owing more money.

You need to face facts - “a lot more creativity” is going to get you into more trouble. You need to be a lot less creative, and go get a job and some stable income to pay your bills.

Quoting scripture does nothing for me, and doesn’t help your situation one whit. Your God let you get into this mess by yourself; He’s not going to help you get out of it.

I think the value of your story is as a warning to people - clueless real estate investing can make you broke, bankrupt and put you in jail. But that doesn’t mean that there is any value in any advice you may give. You’re the subject of the story, not the author.

The comeback, if you have one, is a few years away. In the meantime you have to spend a few years in jail. Right now I’m thinking you might as well get on with it. If you turn yourself in quickly you might be able to achieve a suspended sentence and not actually have to spend time in the big house.

“I used creativity to get into my foreclosure situation.”

There was NOTHING creative about getting into foreclosure. Do you think Cashcall will be “creative” about taking your property and selling it? You really do have a problem with the English language don’t you?

    In CaseyWorld:
success - the occurrence of an event
good - adjective used to describe the occurrence of an event, meaning unknown at present
creative - any action taken by Casey Serin (can be infrequent unless involves signing unread documents relating to credit, finance or real estate)

What determines a person’s level of success? Is it his charisma, her willingness to work long hours, his MBA from Stanford or Harvard?
Flip Flippen, a psychotherapist and business coach in College Station, Texas, argues that success comes from something else — eliminating negative behavior.

“No matter who you are or what you want to achieve, ignoring your behavioral constraints is a blueprint for failure,” he said. He discusses this in his book, “The Flip Side.”

Why don’t you answer any of these questions???

  • CS

I have noticed that a preponderance of the people responding to this blog are now haters.

How did this happen? Not long ago more than 1/2 of the people supported you!

First of all, CS, you da man!

    !yay!

Secondly, the IRS isn’t going to get you, because you are entitled to a fresh start, and you are insolvent, and your debt forgiveness, although taxable, can’t be taxed if you are insolvent.

    !yay!

So don’t listen to the people who ask about your fraudulent cash-back deals, and your pyramid letter-writing mail-fraud scheme from 1997, and your current (and immense) tax liability to the IRS.

Your time is more valuable than that, because you are going places, CS!

    ABC World News Tonight! !yay!

  • CS

I just read the wikipedia entry on you for the first time.

Is this true about the $50k, that you set up a dummy entity to commit mortgage fraud?

If that is true, that is bad. You shouldn’t be quoting the bible if that is something that you did. That’s really really bad. Fraud is very, very bad.

According to wikipedia, it says “The Scotsman’s Guide, a trade publication for the mortgage industry, reported that the largest amount of cash (Serin) received for a transaction was $50,000, and that the money was paid either to the seller or a third-party company (which the Guide alleges was bogus), then returned to Serin after closing.”

If this is true, CS, then you are REALLY in a lot of trouble. If this is true then you most certainly committed a fraud, and could be prosecuted by the D.A’s office.

Maybe you aren’t da man after all.

    Casey,
Reality check. It is April 14th. Taxes are due on Monday. What is your tax liability for 2006? You have to pay them even if you get an extension on the paperwork. I saw a post from the fall that G. was going to organize all your receipts and expenses. That was several months ago, so the job is done…right? It was a priority…right? It was the number one task on your ‘2do’ list…right? Yeah, whatever….
It is obvious to many that you are an addict. You will not face that fact until you have lost everything. That’s just how the story goes for addicts. Only when they have reached the point of spiritual bankruptcy (which may include: moral, financial, marital, familial and personal bankruptcy) will the addiction command your attention and you can begin to change.
Yes, you have ADD. Yes you are quite possibly bi-polar. These are treatable conditions. You are also an addict. You have ignored the postings of the questions asked at http://www.gamblersanonymous.org/20questions.html and http://debtorsanonymous.org/help/signs.htm . But they still are true. With the help of the IRS your reality is about to change. Enjoy, it’s all good.
    your loving accountant

  • I see we’re quoting the bible today.

Did you ever make it up to 2 Thessalonians?

    2 Thessalonians 3:10
If a man will not work, he shall not eat.

I’m also spotting this on the other side of the page:

    1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.

    Casey,
As an official members of the Haterz club, it’s quite obvious that you are making statements just to get our negative reactions, thereby increasing the number of blogs, and in return increased traffic to your site. Well, sir, I for one am not going to take the bait because…ooops…hey wait a sec….DOH!!

    Kostya

you have to go away before you can comeback

recent lengthy blogging about all the graeat things on the horizon = avoiding your 2006 tax mess

galya - kak jalka… schto tij deliyesh? schto tij dumiyesh?

Kostya - if I were in your shoes the biggest payoff that I can imagine would be to become a crusader against the false profits to whom you paid tribute - russ, carlton, et al and to turn on your brokers and realtors with a vengence. You will get great media attention and this trope follows a very popular american fairytale arc that is obvious both in your banner (”getting saved”) and your past and recent bible quoting - namely the conversion on the road to Damascus.

The only thing that america loves more than a repentant sinner is a “successful” repentant sinner and you have the making of that in spades (glib, amoral, photogenic, rapacious).

Be the icon in the coming debtor’s crusade against the hucksters and money changers in the temple who are poised to evicted countless millions from the american dreamtime. Pretend to awake the masses while substituting their current paradigm with yet another false dichotomy (which has its own branding and paraphenalia). Eat the peach but not the seed.

You are practically no longer Kostya but poised to enter the stratosphere of celebritude - make sure you achieve escape velocity or risk the fate of Icarus.

You are fascinating in a morbid way and I too am curious to know what will happen to you next. If all else fails follow my example and you will be legion.

“Isn’t it true that our Maker has given us the power to create reality with our intentions?”

Go stand in front of a moving train and see what happens.

Let’s assume that every word the Bible says is literally true (which I don’t believe), just for arguments sake.

    GOD IS NOT A GENIE.

The Bible is not talking about rubbing a magic lamp/saying prayers and getting whatever you want. Jesus got crucified. Many of the disciples got executed. And you think you won’t have to face bankruptcy? The Bible is quite clear on matters such as these - they don’t matter. You struggle along and then you die and go to heaven. The harder your life is the better, it just makes you more righteous.

It’s amazing how many so-called Christians nowadays don’t understand the first thing about their religion, and somehow get it into their head that God is their personal concierge service.

    Hey Casey,

Haley again. I just thought of an idea for you.

    TRY OUT FOR AMERICAN IDOL!!!

They booted me off, but I bet you’d do great. It’s a lot of hard work, so that might put you at a little bit of a disadvantage. But the upside it HUGE!!

Give it some thought. Tryouts start this summer sometime.

I’m thinking of coloring my hair, gaining some weight and trying again.

Hey, maybe I’ll see you at the tryouts!!

    XOXOXOX Haley

  • I suggest you shut down this site. Anytime you give the general public a platform like this, you bring out alot of the ‘holier-than-thou’, self-righteous haters who are mostly jealous of your success and fame. You’re only 24 and you have accomplished more than most of these obnoxious people who, in real life, go through life angry and scared.
